The difference between a Facial Serum and Moisturiser/Face Cream

Serums are thinner and lighter than moisturisers and leave out occlusive moisturising ingredients. Serums therefore have a formula containing a higher concentration of active ingredients which penetrate the skin faster than a moisturiser would. A serum is different to a face oil as serums are usually water based. The Drops of Honey Serum has a light weight, oil-free and satin touch formula for a fresh faced, youthful and luminous look. It contains active ingredients Vitamin C which is skin brightening and Hyaluronic Acid which helps to bind water to collagen, trapping it in the skin to give a plump, glowy effect.

In short, moisturisers contain more moisturising agents than serums. Our Honeytox Cream has a rich, age-defying formula and silky, non-greasy feel for deeply hydrated and dewy skin. It contains our signature ingredient Manuka Honey as well as Grape Seed Oil, Sunflower Seed Oil, Glycerin, Marine Collagen and Vitamin A (Retinyl). Honeytox Cream can be incorporated into your daily skincare routine in addition to Serum.

We recommend that you use your Drops of Honey Serum in the AM and Honeytox Cream in the PM or layer them (Drops of Honey then Honeytox) for the ultimate honey hydration boost.
