Sustainability + Ethics

Manuka Honey #SaveTheBees

At Nuka Skin we guarantee transparency. Our honey is produced in New Zealand by Apis mellifera bees that pollinate the Manuka tree. It is one of the most unique and beneficial forms of honey in the world. The bee hives are set in the Taranaki region of New-Zealand, in the heart of the Manuka forest, a natural environment protected from all other agricultural activities. The beekeepers are trained to look after the bees’ health, the organisation of the swarms and pollination, while minimising human interference.

Cotton Drawstring Bags (gifted with every order)

The body of our bags are biodegradable and use untreated, sustainably farmed cotton. The manufacturer empowers women in the workplace and prints using non-toxic REACH compliant inks. There is a water treatment programme to eliminate pollutants entering the local water ways and a tree planting programme in place.

Postal Boxes

Our branded mailer boxes are made from at least 70% recycled material that is FSC® certified. The ink is water-based and no glue is used in the production process, meaning the whole box can be recycled without any issues. The cardboard is biodegradable and compostable in industrial composting plants.

Product Jars

All product containers are made from PET plastic and are recyclable. The labels that are attached to the bottles can also be recycled.
